Great to meet you

The Addiction Recovery Center at Carle Health Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, provides comprehensive addiction recovery services for adults age 18 and older. The program has served individuals since 1979 and is part of a larger continuum of mental health and addiction recovery services at Carle Health called Trillium Place. Services include withdrawal management (often referred to as detox), medically monitored inpatient care, a partial hospitalization program offered with and without overnight stays, outpatient services including intensive outpatient treatment and continuing care, and medication assisted recovery, also known as medication assisted treatment. Care is described as evidence-based, with individualized care plans and length of stay that varies according to individual need. Substance use disorder services address alcohol, sedatives, hypnotics and anxiolytics, opioids, cannabis, stimulants, hallucinogens, and inhalants. Behavioral addiction services address gambling disorder. Programming components commonly include group and individual counseling, skill building and educational groups, leisure and fitness activities, family programming and visitation, 12 step peer support and education, and individualized recovery and discharge planning. Group and individual therapies focus on recovery skills, self-care, communication, coping skills, and healthy relationships. Programming is guided by a team of addiction professionals including medical providers, nurses, counselors, and certified and trained addiction staff. For those admitted to inpatient or partial hospitalization services, patients receive an orientation to care, complete a nursing assessment as soon as possible, and meet with a medical provider within the first 24 hours of admission. Meals are catered by Carle Health Proctor Hospital dietary staff, and an outdoor walking track and onsite fitness center are available. Family involvement is encouraged, with weekly educational family programming and visitation, and daily designated times for calls to a support system. Cell phone use is limited during services. The center is in network with a variety of regional and statewide insurance plans and Medicare plans, though network inclusion and tier status can vary. Staff work with Carle Health Patient Financial Services to help answer coverage questions.
