Berrybrook Crisis Resolution LLC

Berrybrook Crisis Resolution is an Illinois substance use and DUI services agency that works with people who struggle with addiction as well as those who have had a single incident involving drugs or alcohol. Its services include DUI evaluations, updated evaluations, DUI Risk Education, DUI Early Intervention, outpatient substance abuse treatment, intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, anger management and parenting classes, individual mental health therapy, SAP/DOT evaluations, and assistance with DUI hearings and denial letters for the Secretary of State. The agency also handles license reinstatement matters.

The agency is licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) to provide evaluations, education, and outpatient services under license number A-0535-001-A. It also states that it follows all guidelines set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in providing DOT/SAP evaluations, education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

A central part of the practice is the Alcohol and Drug Evaluation Uniform Report, a form mandated by the Illinois Department of Human Services and produced through the DUI Services Reporting System (eDSRS). Information from the client interview, court purpose driving abstract, and an objective test is entered into the eDSRS system to determine the level of care that best fits the client's needs. Clients are classified as Minimal Risk, Moderate Risk, Significant Risk, or High Risk based on prior convictions, court ordered supervision, statutory summary suspensions, reckless driving convictions reduced from DUI, blood alcohol concentration, and symptoms of a substance use disorder.

Class and treatment requirements follow that classification. Minimum Risk clients complete 10 hours of DUI Risk Education in four 2.5-hour sessions. Moderate Risk clients complete at least 10 hours of DUI Risk Education plus at least 12 hours of early intervention over a minimum of four weeks. Significant Risk clients complete DUI Risk Education, at least 20 hours of substance use treatment, and continuing care.
